Board Training
Nonprofit Board Training Sessions
The Miller Foundation offers quarterly training sessions for Battle Creek non-profit board members, potential board members and staff free of charge. These trainings can be accessed at https://www.nonprofnetwork.org/miller-calendar
Registration is required for all sessions.
Nonprofit boards have the ultimate responsibility and accountability for the organizations they lead. Does every member of your board understand their legal obligations, basic responsibilities, and duties? We will address current trends, challenges, and climates for organizations in the current year.
Who Should Attend?
It doesn’t matter if you have served on a board for years or if you are serving on a board for the first time, this workshop will help you with whatever stage of board development you are at with your organization. These trainings are available to those involved in organizations that directly serve the Battle Creek community, including having staff or office space in Battle Creek and are then available free of charge. This includes:
- Non-profit EDs
- Board members
- Committee members and potential board members
- Anyone interested in learning about being a board member to help serve Battle Creek
